———————————————————————————————
Effective September 1, 2008 rates for the health and dental plan will be decreasing. Health is being lowered from $187.84 to $170.00 and dental is $145 from $146.71. The reason for the decrease is the plan is finally stabilizing and what this means is that students are using the plan wisely. We have had to increase premium amounts every year due to extreme utilization but we are seeing the utilization stabilizing over the past couple of years and this is allowing us to make these changes.
Along with decreases in premium rates, we are happy to announce that reimbursement on the health plan side of things with the exception of prescription drugs will be 100% and dental will be reimbursed based on the actual charges not the fee guide.
As always, please feel free to contact our office about any questions you may have regarding your student health and dental plans.
